Linn County Sheriff's:
At 2255 hours, 07-07-13 Linn County Deputies, Anamosa Fire, and Northeast Linn Ambulance responded to a personal injury accident on Buffalo Ridge Road at the intersection of Finn Lane. A northbound motorcycle struck a deer in the roadway. The motorcycle driver and only occupant was identified as Nicholas Russell Etten.
Etten was transported to St. Lukes Hospital with what are believed to be non-life threating injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. Etten was not wearing helmet at the time of the incident.
