A motorcyclist died after a high speed chase with Linn County Sheriff Deputies in Marion.

A motorcyclist has died in Marion after a high-speed chase involving Linn County Sheriff Deputies.
The Linn County Sheriffs Department said deputies tried to pull over the driver at the corner of Highway 100 and Highway 13, but he sped off, according to a story from the Gazette.
The driver allegedly reached speeds of up to 100 miles-per-hour before he lost control and turned into a ditch across from the Marion on Highway 100, where he crashed and was pronounced dead on the scene.

He was not wearing a helmet, according to the Gazette.
