ISU is playing in its second straight Big Monday game (and will play on Big Monday next week against Oklahoma) and look to once again step up in the big game. This year’s resume for playing under the spotlight includes the Cyclones demolishing Iowa, a College GameDay win, and a Big Monday win.

For the Cyclones to get another high profile W, they will have to spread the ball around and get big nights out of everyone. Speaking of which, ISU is the only team in the nation that has six players all averaging 10 points or more. Georges Niang is leading that average with his 15.8 points per game.

As always, getting off to a good start is highly important, as the team is 15-0 when leading at halftime this season. When trailing at halftime, they only have one win in five games.

The Big 12 Standings also play a big role in tonight’s game as the winner will take the lead for the conference’s #1 seed in the Sprint Center. With a win, the Cyclones would control their own destiny going into the second half of conference play.

This will be the hardest challenge the Cyclones face all year, with their problems on the road, and to win this game would be monumental on the subject of confidence for the season.
