Obituary: Mary Beldon

Mary Alberta Beldon (Messerli), 76, of Marion, passed away on Monday.

She will have a visitation on Sunday, Feb. 3, from 1-5 p.m., at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3855 Katz Drive in Marion.

A second visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 4 from 9-10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1430 14th St. in Marion

Burial is at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 375 32nd St. Drive NE in Cedar Rapids.

Mary was born March 28, 1936, in Wadena, IA, the daughter of Clement and Nadine (O’Hallaron) Messerli. She married Wayne Belden on January 28, 1956, in Wadena. Wayne died October 17, 1993. Mary worked for Rockwell Collins for over 25 years. She was a very crafty person, and enjoyed Bingo and bowling. Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, and was an eye donor for the Iowa Lions Club and encourages others to do the same. Most of all, Mary greatly loved her grandchildren.
