Democrats Have Advantage in Linn County as Record Number Votes Early
Early voting in Linn County for the Nov. 6 election has reached an all time high.

Linn County residents have turned out to vote early in record numbers.
The Gazette reported that thousands more voters have turned out this year when compared to the 2008 election.
So far approximately 50 percent of early voters are casting their vote are registered Democrats, with 25 percent vying for the Republican party and 25 percent with no party affiliation.

This may not mean an overwhelming victory for Democrats. Tim Hagle, a University of Iowa associate professor of political science, previously told Marion Patch that Democrats tend to vote early much more often than Republicans.
Saturday marked the last day for pre-registration for the upcoming Nov. 6 election. You can vote early by visiting the Linn County Auditor's office this week.
