Tough way to spend Fourth of July:

On July 4, 2013 at about 5:43 PM Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies, Linn County Sheriff’s Rescue, Mount Vernon Police Department, Lisbon/Mount Vernon Ambulance, and Springville Fire Department responded to 942 Elbow Creek Rd for an overturned go-kart.
Keegan John Feye, 22 of Cedar Rapids, was transported to St. Lukes Hospital by Lisbon/Mount Vernon Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Feye was the driver and only occupant of the go-kart and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash took place on private property and is under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
