Should Marion Ban Parking on 6th Street?

In a request to the city, Marion resident Jeff Huegel says there is no room for two-way vehicle traffic when cars are parked.

Should 6th Street become a parking free street?

One Marion resident thinks so.

Jeff Huegel, who lives on South Sixth Street, wrote in a request to the city that when cars are parked the road is too clogued up for two-way vehicle traffic. The street has no parking for part of the year to help with snow removal, and Huegel suggests extending the parking ban year round.

Here's his request to the city:

“I would like to request a no parking any time on South 6th street. Currently there is no parking from November to April 1 for sno removal but there is no room anytime for cars on both sides of the street. Who do I need to contact to get this done?”
