3 Marion Businesses Named to Top 100 Iowa Companies to Work For in 2012

According to results published by the Des Moines Register, Fareway, Edward Jones and Veridian Credit Union's employee satisfaction ratings played a big role in earning these companies the distinction.

Three Marion businesses are now considered among the top workplaces in the country, according to results published in the Des Moines Register.

The Register recently recognized 100 companies and organizations in Iowa as Top Workplaces 2012. These companies earned the distinction based solely on surveys about the workplace completed by their employees.

The following business all earned a spot on the 2012 list:

  • Fareway — 7,100 employees
  • Edward Jones — 514 employees
  • Veridian Credit Union — 541 employees

"We believe great people make great companies," Renee Christoffer, Veridian’s senior vice president of administration, said in a statement. "Doing that requires maintaining a workplace where all employees know they are valued. That’s what we strive for, and we’re honored to be recognized for this commitment to our staff."

The Top Workplaces program recognizes good employers on 30 regional lists and one national list. The evaluations are done through the Workplace Dynamics survey.
