Trend of Linn County Synthetic Pot Hospitalization Continues in Wednesday Night Incident

Synthetic marijuana was made illegal last year after an 18-year-old died while on the substance two years ago; we reported this year that  were rising in and Cedar Rapids.

Now it seems that another dramatic example of the dangers of the drug has appeared.

Cedar Rapids Police say they found a man "extremely intoxicated" on the substance, lying in the middle of 16th Ave SW in Cedar Rapids Wednesday night, according to the Gazette.

Officials have not released the man's name. He was hospitalized and sent to Mercy Hospital.
