Police: 2 NE Cedar Rapids Gas Stations Robbed By Men in 'Halloween-Type' Masks Within 1 Hour

Police said a handgun was displayed but no shots were fired.

Two men in "Halloween-type" masks robbed two northeast Cedar Rapids gas stations in less than an hour, police say.

Cedar Rapids Police told the Gazette that no one had been injured in the early Tuesday morning incidents. A handgun was displayed at both incidents but no shots were fired.

Police were first called to the scene of an armed robbery at the Kwik Shop on 2904 Center Point Road NE at 12:25 a.m. They responded to another robbery call at 1:20 a.m. at the Kum & Go at 3132 First Ave. NE.
