UPDATE: Burn Ban Will Be Lifted Tomorrow In Linn County

Linn County will be one of many Iowa counties that will rescind their burn bans issued over a month ago.

The Iowa Department of Public Safety has just announced that Linn County will be suspending its burn ban for residents, effective Wednesday at 8 a.m.

Mike Goldberg, emergency management coordinator, initially requested that the burn ban be lifted.

The ban was initiated on July 6, after officials became concerned that the drought was causing plant life to die and become flammable.
