Police: 'John' Takes Minor to Meeting with Prostitute to Babysit 3-Month-Old Baby
Police say three 'johns' left their kids in the car while attempting to meet with a prostitute.

While a "john"Â was seeking the services of a prostitute, he left a 16-year-old relative in the car babysitting two younger children, including a 3-month-old baby, police say.
The good news is the kids were fine. The bad news, at least for the john, the prostitute's customer, is that his rendezvous was with an undercover officer, not a prostitute.
The man was among 40 arrested, including 37 for prostitution, during a Linn County prostitution sting in late June. And this wasn't the only case of children taken to such visits in the sting. Three of the suspects left while they went to meet what they thought were prostitutes, Marion Police Investigations Lt. Scott Elam said.

Officers from more than 20 agencies worked on the . Undercover officers posed as prostitutes in ads on social networking sites. More arrests, including , could be coming, police say.
Elam said victim-witness coordinators were used. Victim-witness coordinators typically help people affected by crimes, such as children, in finding temporary shelter, food and other services, right when the alleged crimes happen. He said he couldn't specify which services were provided in this case.
"These people have fallen through the cracks," he said.
