This Week's Forecast

When will eastern Iowa temporarily thaw?

In the weather outlook we’ve been waiting for, the National Weather Service expects that temperatures will finally be rising above freezing this week.

The forecast for Marion, as of Tuesday morning, showed the following:

  • Tuesday - temperatures rising up to a high of 14. Low tonight of zero.
  • Wednesday - partly sunny with a high of 22 and a 20% chance of light snow. Low of 9.
  • Thursday - sunny with a high of 29 and a low of 16.
  • Friday - a streak of temperatures in the upper 30s is expected to last through the weekend.

Take advantage of the relief this weekend by getting outdoors to take care of the things you’d never want to do in the bitter cold! Clean your car or take your dog for a walk!
