Westdale Mall Chick-Fil-A 'Swamped' With Customers After Mike Huckabee's Proclamation
Today is what former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee calls "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day." Are Marion residents taking part?

You may have heard (about a hundred times) that the owner of Chik-fil-A has taken a stance against same-sex-marriage, and that former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has declared today "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day."
But you might wonder: How would Iowans respond? Would they take part in an apparent show of approval of the former governor's statement, or would they pass it off as a proclamation from "just another" politician?
Reporting from KCRG seems to indicate that people have "swamped" the Westdale Mall location of Chick-fil-A.

KCRG also points out that opponents of the company's stance will be performing a counter-demonstration on Friday, entitled "Kiss Mor Chiks", where they ask individuals to go to a Chick-fil-A and kiss someone of the same sex.
It's unclear yet if any in Cedar Rapids will be participating in the counter-demonstration.
