When Does Daylight Saving Time End?

These dark mornings have you wondering: When does Daylight Savings Time end? What to do with that extra hour in Marion.

Those 7:30 a.m. commutes will get darker before they get lighter. Officially, Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4.

Remember, you’ll “fall back” and set your clocks back one hour. Many electronic devices automatically adjust when Daylight Savings Time begins or ends.

That means you get an extra hour in your day.

I'd recommend spending that time at the Arabian Spooktacular Horse Show. Head out to the Iowa Equestian Center in Cedar Rapids — on the south side of Kirkwood Community College — at 8 a.m.

When you change your clocks in the fall and spring, it’s also a good time to change smoke detector batteries and check to make sure device are in working order.

Arizona, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa do not observe Daylight Savings Time.

It begins again on March 10, 2013.
