• Herman Cain, whose Iowa campaign headquarters is in Urbandale, confirms in a video that he gave money to the woman who alleges she was his mistress. The latest Iowa Poll has support for Cain dropping to single-digit percentages.

• Michelle Bachmann's campaign, whose headquarters also is in Urbandale, announced that Iowa Tea Party activist Ryan Rhodes has joined its staff as outreach director, according to O. Kay Henderson of Radio Iowa.
