The University of Iowa may not be going to a postseason bowl game for the first time since 2000, but there are plenty of intriguing football bowl games on the schedule this year. Rose Bowl Game presented by Vizio, Stanford vs. Wisconsin

Former Linn-Mar standout David Parry, of Marion, is a backup at defensive tackle for the Stanford Cardinals. Sam Raridon, a West Des Moines Valley senior, has committed to Wisconsin. Zach Davison, who attended Waukee, is a junior tight end on Wisconsin.

Cedar Rapids Kennedy grad Christian French is a defensive back for Oregon Ducks. French was drafted as a tight end but has converted to defense since arriving at Oregon. Jesse Ertz, a Mediapolis senior quarterback, has committed to Kansas State.
