A Cry for Help At Denny Arthur's?

Police and emergency medical technicians were called to bar on Saturday to help a 44-year-old Grand Junction woman who was semi-conscious.

The woman, distraught over a recent breakup with her boyfriend, had arranged to meet a girlfriend at the bar and dance club, said Lt. Rob Johansen.

As the two women were talking, the Grand Junction woman told her friend that she had taken some pills earlier. Shortly thereafter, she became incoherent and the girlfriend called police.

The police report listed it as an attempted suicide. The woman was taken to a hospital.
