Boy Who Brought Pellet Gun to Urbandale School in Trouble Again

The Jensen Elementary second-grader is accused of assaulting four adults who were trying to break up a fight on the playground, according to Urbandale police.

The 8-year-old boy who brought a pellet gun to Jensen Elementary School in March is in trouble again.

Police were called to on May 10 after the boy allegedly assaulted two school associates, the principal and a school secretary.

According to the police report, the boy was involved in a dispute with another student on the playground. A school associate moved to separate the children and the boy allegedly continued to kick and hit the associate.

Another associate, the school secretary, and the principal all came to help and were struck.

Lt. Rob Johansen said the boy was referred to juvenile court authorities on charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct.
