Call Urbandale Police; Ex-Boyfriend on the Roof
Police say Joseph Polson of Des Moines went to extraordinary lengths trying to get an ex-girlfriend to talk to him.

Joseph P. Polson, 29, of Des Moines was charged with attempted burglary after Urbandale police reportedly found him on the roof of his ex-girlfriend's home on June 22.
Lt. Rob Johansen said the 32-year-old Urbandale woman who lives in the 3000 block of Hillsdale Drive told police Polson was knocking on her door and wanted to talk to her. She didn't want to talk to him, so she refused to come to the door. He also allegedly tried to push in her back door to get into the house, she said.
Polson then allegedly turned on her garden hose, climbed up on her roof with it and put the hose in a vent in the roof. When police arrived, Polson was on the roof.
