Oct.13: The assistant manager of Papa John's Pizza at 6325 Douglas Ave. reported that a woman called to place a pizza order at 1 a.m. and was told that the business was closing and would not be making any more pizzas.Â
The assistant manager said the woman, who was known to the restaurant, became angry that she could not get a pizza and allegedly made death threats against Papa John's employees.Â
The 26-year-old Des Moines woman was identified to police, who interviewed her. She told a different account of the incident and the case is still under investigation. Police have not yet released her name because charges have not been filed.
