UPDATE: Urbandale Responds -- Police Arrest Man After Publicizing Hotel Photo

UPDATE: Urbandale Public Information Officer Jeff Casey released this statement Monday afternoon:

The Urbandale Police have arrested 43-year-old Mark Allen Barber of Des Moines in connection with an incident at Ramada Inn, 5000 Merle Hay Rd. on March 10, 2012, in which he allegedly took photographs of a young child that were sexual in nature.

Barber is being charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, a Class C Felony. He is being held on a $10,000 cash only bond.  Additional charges are pending.

The Urbandale Police Department would like to thank the public, press, and crime stoppers for their help in the identification and apprehension of Barber.

are investigating an allegation of inappropriate contact with a young girl near the arcade of the hotel at approximately 6 p.m., Saturday, March 10.

The man in the photo may have witnessed the contact with a child on March 10 at  at the , 5000 Merle Hay Road, said Urbandale Police spokesman Jeff Casey.

The case is still under investigation and any information from the public is strongly encouraged by the Urbandale Police Department.
