Don't Blame Mom For This One, Say Urbandale Police

An Urbandale woman was charged with harassment and giving false information last week.

The Urbandale arrests below are preliminary criminal charges. They do not represent convictions or court resolutions. 

Tuesday, May 15: Deana M. Asher, 38, Urbandale, was charged with third-degree harassment and giving false information to an officer. Lt. Rob Jorgensen said Asher called police and reported that her 61-year-old mother had assaulted her. Upon investigation, police concluded there was no assault.

A 39-year-old Panora woman is the subject of an investigation of car theft. Hummel's Nissan, 4770 Merle Hay Road, said someone stole a 2012 Nissan Xtera 4.0 and 2012 Nissan Titan Crew Cab on May 15.

Wednesday, May 16: Amanda T. Jackson, 25, of Urbandale was charged with conspiracy to deliver marijuana.  

Edwin M. Houck, 61, of 2710 Patricia Place, was cited for failing to follow registration requirements for sex offenders. He allegedly did not register an internet moniker he was using, as required by law.
