Donate Your Used Bike Saturday to Help Others

Instead of putting old bikes on the curb during Urbandale's annual spring cleanup next week, bring them to the parking lot tomorrow morning.

The Des Moines Bike Collective, a non-profit that collects and refurbishes used bicycles, will repair and refurbish them. In 2010, the Collective gave away 53 bicycles to deserving adults and children, some were from the Karen Acres neighborhood.  

The Collective also repairs and resells the bikes.
