Finally! Someone is Actually Charged in a Gas Drive-off
There was luck involved: either bad luck for the defendant or good luck for the store.

Sgt. Dan Stein was on patrol in the 3900 block of Northwest Urbandale Drive when a dispatcher's report about a gasoline theft came across his onboard computer.
The theft was reported at at 3936 N.W. Urbandale Drive, so Stein immediately pulled into the convenience store parking lot, said Lt. Rob Johansen.
As he did, he saw two people pointing to a car that was stopped at a red light at the intersection next to the store. So Stein immediately pulled out of the lot and pulled the car over.
