ENCORE: Five Urbandale Foreclosure Sales Worth Checking Out

 We searched the Urbandale listings on Aol Real Estate for homes that are foreclosure sales, looking specifically for homes that were either discounted or had a price per square foot of $100 or less.

2900 Ashwood Drive

A new listing, this two-story backs on to charming South Karen Acres Park and there's a large deck off the back to enjoy the view.  At $185,000, it's selling for $27,000 less than its last sale price in 2008. At 1,908 square feet, that's about $97 per square foot of house.

6305 Iltis Ave.

At $104,00, this split-level is priced at less than its assessed value. From the photo and description, we think the description of only 969 square feet is probably wrong. The listing says the interior and exterior need some updating and cosmetics.


4125 70th St.

Want a cute little Beaverdale Brick home in Urbandale?  This may be the one for you. At $124,900, it's $25,000 less than its most recent taxable value. 

4534 71st St.

If you want a lot of living space for a steal, check out this 1,200-square foot townhome for $99,900. That's about $83 a square foot and more than $30,000 under its last taxable value. 


9223 Goodman

This property doesn't quite meet our criteria, unless the bank is willing to negotiate on its asking price. At $219,900, the house has 2,112 square feet. It's assessed value is only $184,900.
