Home Burglary Interrupted by Police

A young man and woman were caught by police in an Urbandale home 3100 Elm Drive Friday night and charged with burglary.

Ryan Bergez, 20, of Clive and Aeryal Locke, of Clive were charged with second-degree burglary and booked into Polk County Jail on $10,000 bond.

No one was at home at about 8 p.m. when a neighbor saw two people breaking into a window at the side of the home, said Randy Peterson, police information officer. 

Peterson said police had been at the home earlier, responding to a disturbance at a party at the home. He said the two who were arrested knew family members of the home's owners.
