It's Your Patch. Share Stories of Your Dads, Urbandale

Beware Dads: it's the time of year people are allowed to go all mushy on you.

And Patch wants to help. 

So if you have a dad, are married to a dad, or are a dad, we're asking you to share a favorite story, a photo, or funny annecdote.

Maybe it's the story of a Father's Day gift gone terribly wrong. Or the cute things your kids say about their dad. Or the goofy things your favorite father likes to do.

I'll go first: My husband, Jim, unfailingly would go misty-eyed when Kevin Costner asks his ghost dad for a game of catch in the movie "Field of Dreams" and then pretend he had something in his eye. Like the character in the movie, he lost his father too young. They shared the same unflagging loyalty to a losing baseball team -- the Detroit Tigers.
