Living History Farms Will Host Juried Show Of Vintage And Handmade Items Oct. 7 & 8
The Vintage & Made Fair at Living History Farms will blend handcrafted and repurposed items with antiques and vintage decor.

URBANDALE, IA. --Living History Farms will host more than 100 juried vendors from across the Midwest with handmade and vintage items at the Vintage & Made Fair Oct. 7 and 8. The outdoor market will have antiques and vintage home decor, jewelry, handcrafted goods, outdoor accents, seasonal flora, local eats and everything needed to create a vintage and handmade lifestyle, according to the event website.
Event creator Tricia Hall, who is a co-owner of Vintage No. 35 in West Des Moines, saw a need for a show to bring both the vintage and handmade worlds together -- the idea being to rescue, repurpose and relove vintage items, she says -- and her goal is to "empower the creative community by cultivating a knowledge and respect of vintage found items and handcrafted goods while providing a fun shopping environment with fantastic small businesses," according to the show's information.
Live music will include nine entertainers over two days and more than a half dozen food vendors will be on hand. A list of vendors is available here.
