Man is Arrested After Trying to Return Merchandise
Someone racked up $1,300 in sales on a credit card belonging to an Urbandale man.
Casey R. Burt, 21, of Des Moines was charged with forgery and or counterfeiting of a credit card, violating his parole conditions and interference with official acts on June 26.
Burt is accused of spending more than $1,300 with a credit card stolen from an Urbandale man. The card was used by someone other than its owner at several locations. Clerks at WalMart became suspicious when Burt allegedly tried to return $500 and then $845 in merchandise for cash.
Police arrested Burt at his apartment at 6315 Hickman Road.
