Police Blotter: Theft and Alcohol Arrests Over the Holiday Week

The information below are preliminary criminal charges. They do not represent convictions or court resolutions. 

Wednesday: Nathan Lee Taylor, 23, of West Des Moines, was arrested in Urbandale Dec. 28 on charges of unlawful possession of prescription medicine, possession of schedule iV drugs, resisting arrest, interference with official acts, driving while his license is suspended, failure to display license plats, no registration and no insurance. He was taken to Polk County Jail.

Wednesday: Christopher L. Stein, 30, of Windsor Heights, and Jacob R. Copeland, 27, of Urbandale were arrested on  misdemeanor shoplifting charges Dec. 28.

Tuesday: Kenneth W. Schurman, 40, and Michelle L. Schurman, 37, both of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, were arrested Dec. 27 on first-degree theft charges.

Tuesday: Teresa R. Thompson, 49, of Greenfield, was arrested Dec. 27 on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while her license is barred. She was stopped in the 11400 block of Douglas Avenue.

Monday: John R. Perkins, 33, of Des Moines was arrested on charges of first-offense drunken driving, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police stopped his car at 100th Street and Hickman Road.

Dec. 24: David. L. Routh, 44, of West Des Moines was arrested on a charge of second offense drunken driving. He was released from the Urbandale Police Department with a criminal citation.

Dec. 24: Christopher Repplinger, 39, of Des Moines, was arrested on a charge of possession of stolen property.

Dec. 23: Justin A. Foster, 36, of Des Moines was arrested on charges of aggravated domestic abuse, felony harassment and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

Dec. 23: Robin R. Vinzant, 42, of Greenfield, was arrested on a misdemeanor shoplifting charge at Kohls in the Merle Hay Mall.

Dec. 23: Madison P. Walker, 20, of Des Moines, was arrested on a misdemeanor shoplifting charge at Younkers in the Merle Hay Mall.

Dec. 22: Blake C. Asher, 32, of Topeka, Kansas, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication at the Super 8 motel, 5990 Sutton Ave.
