Put Down the Knife, Ma'am: Motel Relax Tenant Arrested
Urbandale police disarmed a senior citizen who apparently was upset about a lost magazine.

Urbandale police last weekend arrested a 65-year-old woman who they say was waving a butcher knife and threatening people at
Judy Fife, who lives at the residential motel at 7625 Hickman Road, reportedly came out of her apartment Friday at about 7:30 p.m. with a knife in her hand. When another resident tried to get her to go back into her room, she allegedly threatened the 35-year-old man with it.
"She was walking around with this knife, he tried to talk to her and tried to get her back into her room and she threatened him," said Lt. Rob Johansen.

Later, Fife went to the manager's office with the knife and allegedly threatened a 23-year-old woman who was working there. Police reports indicate that Fife was upset that the manager didn't have a magazine that came in the mail for her.
No one was injured.

Fife is being held in the Polk County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond on a charge of assault with display of a weapon.Â
