Romney Wins Iowa; Here's How Urbandale Caucused

Urbandale Republicans caucused for Mitt Romney in even stronger proportions than their Iowa counterparts.
Romney's comfortable margin in Urbandale was similar to his lead overall in Polk County, according to precinct caucus totals provided by the Iowa Republican Party.Â
With 183 precincts reporting, Romney captured 6,240 votes in Polk County. Ron Paul came in second with 4,948 votes, while Rick Santorum came in third with 4,735 votes. Newt Gingrich pulled in fourth place with 2,797 votes.

In Urbandale, 2,580 people voted in Republican caucuses and Romney gathered 837 of those votes. However, while Paul was the second choice for Polk County, Santorum came in second in Urbandale with 612 votes to Paul's 422 votes.
Gingrich gathered 406 Urbandale votes, with Rick Perry at 188 and Michele Bachmann at 108 votes.

Paul didn't win any of Urbandale's 11 precincts, but Santorum prevailed over Romney in five precincts.
