You Haven't Decided What to Cook for Tonight's Game? Don't Worry

It's the snacks, as much as the football and Super Bowl commercials, that make a super party.

The Super Bowl is today and you might need a new recipe quick. Check out the links and comments to this story for some ideas. 

One Hundred million people will be watching the Super Bowl on television. According to the third annual Supervalu Snack Down Survey by Harris Interactive, nearly three-quarters of the fans say they plan to prepare and serve food and snacks to others at their home on game day.

According to the survey, Americans' favorite Super Bowl Snacks are:

  • Dips and spreads (32 percent)
  • Chicken wings (23 percent)
  • Pizza and salty snacks such as chips, peanuts, pretzels or popcorn. (14 percent)

Half the respondents will spend $100 on snacks and 80 percent will buy their snacks or snack ingredients at their local supermarket, which may be why the Dahl's recipe of the week is a Super Bowl-appropriate Sesame Chicken Dip.
