'The Hunger Games' Opens: Will You Be There?

Even if you haven't read "The Hunger Games" triology, it's hard to miss all the hype of the movie's opening today. 

The young adult series has attracted readers and devotees of all ages, much like its predecessor, the Harry Potter series. 

According to cbsnews.com, the movie's overseas and midnight openings were "gigantic" and the film is predicted to smash opening records for the month of March.

If you're not familiar with the books: "The Hunger Games" was published in 2008 and written by Suzanne Collins. Written in the voice of 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives in a post-apocalyptic world, she becomes one of 24 young people selected to be trained to fight to the death in the annual Hunger Games.
