- Terrorism
- Violence and chaos resultant of a manmade disaster.
- Violence and chaos resultant of a natural disaster.
- Lawlessness that is unmanageable by local and state police.
- Espionage
You would also be inclined to believe that, during the unfolding of such unthinkable events a large group of armed, patriotic, Constitution-loving citizens -- many of whom have served in the military -- would enhance the maintenance and preservation of homeland security in addition to providing cost-effective defense of their own personal interests and those of other law-abiding Americans. In other words, these citizens would be an important ally to the police and National Guard during a major homeland security crisis . . .
