Urbandale Brand Campaign For Development Area To Be Launched Tuesday
Urbandale branding campaign will focus on two major interchanges and more than 700 acres of development area.

URBANDALE, IA. -- The City of Urbandale will launch a branding campaign Tuesday for the Interstate 35/80 corridor development areas that will be a focus of growth for the community in years ahead. Mayor Bob Andeweg and community leaders will reveal a new name, logo and tagline for the development areas at 4 p.m. in the Urbandale High School Performing Arts Center, 7111 Aurora Ave. The public is invited to attend.
The campaign is the culmination of decades of work by city officials and stakeholders and Andeweg said in a news release that the community is at a unique point in its 100-year history, with interstate interchanges planned to open at 100th Street in 2018 and Meredith Drive in 2020.
More than 700 acres of development land will be served by the interchanges and city officials said much of it is “master-planned and shovel-ready.”
