Urbandale To Conduct Training Fire On Wednesday
A house will be set on fire Nov. 1 as part of training for the Urbandale Fire Department.
URBANDALE, IA — Urbandale firefighters will conduct a live fire training on Wednesday evening. A portion of Meredith Drive will be closed from 7 to 11 p.m. as part of the exercise.
The training will take place at a house at 15808 Meredith Drive. Traffic on Meredith between 156th and 160th streets will be controlled between 3 and 7 p.m., but the street will remain open. It will close after that, but should reopen by 11 p.m., Fire Chief Jerry Holt said in a news release.
Fire officials ask that people avoid the area while the training exercise is being conducted.
