Urbandale Man Gets Life Sentence In Human Trafficking Case
Clark Wesley Betts Jr. was convicted of offering minors to a drug dealer for sex in exchange for drugs.

DES MOINES, IA — An Urbandale man will spend the rest of his life in prison after being sentenced Friday for sex trafficking two cchildren. The U.S. Attorney's Office of the southern district of Iowa also reported Clark Wesley Betts Jr., 41, received concurrent prison terms of 40 years each on three counts of distribution of a controlled substance to a person under 21.
According to The Des Moines Register, Betts also was ordered to pay restitution of $349,032 and $374,400 to the minor victims. The U.S. Attorney's Office also required Betts to pay $500 to the Crime Victims' Fund.
Betts reportedly had provided two minors to a drug dealer for sex acts in exchange for receiving crack cocaine and provided crack cocaine to three minor victims, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. He was convicted in June, the Register reported.
