Urbandale's Webster Elementary School Rocks 'n' Reads

Want to throw a party that elementary school kids will love? Here's formula:

• Serve walking tacos, a cookie and fruit in the school cafeteria for dinner, accompanied by blaring rock 'n' roll music.
• Give kids a free book and a Rock Star T-shirt.
• Let them shop for their favorite books.
• Add some fairy tale crafts in the library.
• Let the kids choose the kinds of music, er books, they want to study. "Rap" ie poetry; country i.e. folk tales; hard rock i.e. textbooks.
• Put teachers in costumes, like the Cat in the Hat, a poodle skirt, or rapper wear.
