Urbandale Sex Offender Found After Four Years
Urbandale police were doing routine checks on registered sex offenders in 2008 and said Rusty Kaiser wasn't living at his registered address. They found him this month.
It took Urbandale police nearly four years to catch up with Rusty A. Kaiser, 28, a convicted sex offender who they said failed to register his true address as required by state law.
Kaiser is on the state registry of sex offenders and when police made a routine check of his reported address, 3949 114th St. in 2008, they discovered that he did not live there.
Lt. Rob Johansen said they put out a warrant for Kaiser's arrest and just found him this month, living at 11000 Douglas Ave.
According to Polk County Jail records, Kaiser also was detained there for several weeks on a Dallas County case. Last October, he pleaded guilty to failing to register his address in 2008 and was fined in Dallas County, according to Iowa Courts Online.Â
