Urbandale Teen Accused of Drug Dealing - Police Blotter
Urbandale police made several marijuana arrests late last month.
The Urbandale arrests below are preliminary criminal charges. They do not represent convictions or court resolutions.Â
May 25: Tarron Tucker, 18, of Urbandale, was charged with manufacture and possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, and drug tax stamp violation. Tucker was the subject of a drug task force investigation. Police searched his home at 3624 64th St. and seized marijuana, scales and packaging, said Lt. Rob Johansen.
May 29: Michael A. Deetjen, 23, of Urbandale, was charged with possession of marijuana. Police were called to 3805 80th St. and found roommates arguing. When one of the officers patted down Deetjen, they found a bag of marijuana in his pocket, said Johansen.Â

May 23: Mel Baker, 47, of Remington, Va., was arrested at the Sleep Inn, after hotel officials noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the room, according to police reports. He and Justin A. Wingo, 26, of Manassas, Va., were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
May 23: Andrew Cox, 20, of Des Moines, charged with marijuana possession and numerous traffic citations after he allegedly ran into a car parked in someone's driveway in the 7100 block of Sheridan Avenue.

Neighbors called police after hearing a loud crash. Police eventually found Cox's vehicle, with heavy front-end damage nearby at West Point apartments in the 2500 block of 72nd Street, said Johansen.Â
Police went into the apartment building and could hear several young men talking loudly about the accident inside one of the apartments. When they knocked and entered the apartment, they found Cox hiding in a closet, said Johansen.Â
