As part of this update, sirens in Urbandale will be tested this Saturday, January 21, 2012 between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm.

The weather is predicted to be clear and cold which provides a storm free day for this testing. Throughout the testing process, residents may hear brief intermittent siren noises as well as a full functional test lasting three minutes. The sirens may sound several times during the testing. The City of Urbandale wants to assure residents that there are no problems and this is simply testing to assure that the system is fully functional.
