Weekend Arrests In Urbandale
Even though it was St. Patrick's Day, it was a fairly calm weekend in Urbandale, according to police logs.
The Urbandale arrests below are preliminary criminal charges. They do not represent convictions or court resolutions.
Friday, March 16: William E. Dickerson, 26, of Urbandale, was charged with domestic abuse, aggravated assault of his 24-year-old girlfriend in a hotel room.
Jennifer L. Orr, 44, of Urbandale, was charged with first-offense drunken driving Friday after being stop in the 7300 block of Ridgemont Drive.

Police broke up an underage drinking party Friday in the 3900 block of 64th Street. Five teenagers were cited for underage drinking and one was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphrenalia.
Saturday, March 17: Daniel Valadez-Juarez, 29, of Des Moines was arrested on charge of driving while barred, after a traffic stop. He was released on a citation, but his car was impounded by police.
Sunday, March 18: Benjamin L. Vanvark, 30, of West Des Moines was charged with third-offense drunken driving, disobeying a traffic signal and driving without his car registration.
