What To Do During Urbandale's Spring Break

The Urbandale Public Library has several events lined up to keep the kiddos busy during spring break.

Balloon Animal Workshop
Tuesday, March 19th from 10:30 to 11:30am in Meeting Rooms A/B
Kids age 10 years and up can practice making balloon animals with a professional clown. Christine Carroll of Pink Stew Entertainment will provide the balloons, the know-how and the fun! Space is limited, registration is required. Please register by calling 331-4490 by Wednesday, March 13

Creations With A Twist
Wednesday, March 20th from 10:30 to 11:30am in Meeting Rooms A/B
Daniel Poe will entertain kids of all ages, and particularly elementary-age kids, as he presents a show full of stories, balloon costumes, audience volunteers, and lots of laughter! You won’t want to miss Creations With A Twist. Registration is not required.

Sparkle Hoop Dance
Thursday, March 21st from 10:30 to 11:30am in Meeting Rooms A/B
Kids age 7 years and up can use a hula hoop as a partner and learn to hoop dance. Instructor, Mary Boyvey, will give kids a fun workout and will also help participants decorate their hula hoop before they take it home. Space is limited, registration is required. Please register by calling 331-4490 by Wednesday, March 13.

Movie Matinee
Friday, March 22nd from 1:30 to 3:00pm in Meeting Rooms A/B
Families can enjoy free popcorn and a Friday-afternoon movie. An elderly gentleman ties thousands of balloons to his home so that he can drift away to South America and explore the wilds of the Amazon. A young boy inadvertently becomes a stowaway and a fellow explorer. No registration required.
