When Road Rage Turns Just Plain Odd

An Urbandale man is accused of employing bizarre weapons in a road rage confrontation.

An incident of alleged road rage in Urbandale turned bizarre on June 26, when a 150-pound motorist took on two furniture movers, said police.

Chul S. Seo, 44, of Urbandale was charged with simple assault and assault causing bodily injury and taken to the Polk County Jail.

A police report indicates that the incident started at 145th and Maple streets, when Seo apparently became upset when a moving truck got in his way.

Seo honked his horn at the truck and the two drivers got into an argument and exchanged angry gestures. Eventually, Seo and the two movers got out of their vehicles and began arguing and calling each other names.

Police said Seo began to throw rocks at the men and then took off his belt and began whipping one of the men with the belt.
