Woman's Tears Led to Urbandale Traffic Stop
Find out how an Urbandale officer came to the woman's rescue.

An Urbandale police officer noticed a vehicle being driven erratically in the the 7500 block of Douglas Avenue shortly after midnight on July 16.
The woman driver was "visibly upset, crying and had two kids in the back seat," said Lt. Rob Johansen.Â
The woman had a cut and a goose-egg-size bump above her left eye, a scratch on her neck, scrapes on her elbow and  her foot was cut from stepping on a broken bottle.

She told the officer that she and her husband and children were at a party in the 3900 block of 74th Street. The Altoona couple began to argue, which escalated into violence. Their friends separated the man from his wife and she left with the children.
Urbandale police later arrested the woman's husband, Hung Minh Trinh, 40, of Altoona and charged him with aggravated domestic assault, an aggravated misdemeanor.Â
