Young and Old Help Clean Up Urbandale Yards

There were fewer Urbandale yards to clean up, so volunteers for Urbandale Caring Corps annual spring cleanup were done by mid-morning Saturday.

"With the nice weather we had early in the year, so many of our clients got their yards already," said Mary Polson, director of Urbandale Community Action Network. 

There were about 60 volunteers to clean up 17 yards on Saturday.

Caring Corps is a division of the community action network that sponsors spring and fall cleanups annually. The Caring Corps organizes volunteers to help elderly and disabled residents with transportation and other issues.
