Arrest for Public Intoxication, Interference with Official Acts: Waukee Police Reports

July 22

A vehicle driven by Joshua Serafine of 102 Parlange St., Thibodaux, LA, was westbound in the 300 block of Southeast University Avenue and signaled to merge into the left lane. Police said Serafine's vehicle collided with one driven by Akram Nagi of 724 31st St., Des Moines, which was westbound on Southeast University in the middle lane. Damage was estimated at $4,000.

A vehicle driven by Benjamin Bruins of 1685 S.E. Bristol Drive, Waukee, was pulling out of a business drive across Carefree Lane. Police said at that time a vehicle driven by Brennan Gatrel of 625 N. Little Walnut Creek Drive, Waukee, was westbound on Southeast Laurel Street. Because of weather conditions and poor visibility, Gatrel struck Bruins' vehicle. Damage was estimated at $16,000.

John Bolty, 49, of 1960 N. Lincoln Park West, Chicago, was arrested at the intersection of Booth Avenue and Southeast Primrose Lane. He was charged with public intoxication and interference with official acts.
