Be a Santa to a Senior

Each year, local residents can spread holiday cheer to lonely or financially challenged seniors through the Be a Santa to a Senior program, organized by Home Instead Senior Care. This year, The Village at Legacy Pointe in Waukee has the honor of hosting one of the trees, which is on display in the front foyer.

To participate, take a Christmas ornament off the tree at The Village at Legacy Pointe, 1650 SE Holiday Crest Circle in Waukee, purchase the gift listed for the person whose name is on the ornament, and return the gift wrapped or unwrapped to The Village at Legacy Pointe.

It’s a wonderful way to have a positive impact on someone for whom the holidays may be challenging.

“Seeing the gifts arriving is really moving,” said Tammy Olson, Executive Director at The Village at Legacy Pointe. “Santa will bring so many smiles to the faces of the recipients.”
